March 25, 2010

The last couple days have been busy, busy, busy for these new parents. Tenley keeps Mom busy with her five breastfeeds a day. Will keeps them both focused on him because he is now off the nasal oxygen (a big YAY!)and is therefore breathing on his own and looking ultra cute without his nasal oxygen tubes. Plus, they are actually going to take him out of the isolette tonight!...as in, he wont be in that enclosure anymore, he'll just be laying there like he would in a normal crib. AND, now he is being breastfeed one time a day. So, between toggling the feeds, the holds, the doctors, the nurses, and just normal tasks like eating and walking back and forth between the hotel and the hospital...there's just very limited time. There are also rumblings of a possible discharge next week....so all the tasks in the "we'll do that later" category now need to be done.

The good news is that all of this means progress, and progress is something we've all been hoping and praying for over the last two months.
