Thanks for the update Uncle J! Will is still doing quite well. He's going to bed a bit later than normal but he's sleeping soundly through the night and showing no signs of an interaction. Now we just wait and see how he responds to the treatment. They don't go back for an evaluation until January so he has plenty of time to make improvements.

Uncle J here with a quick update on Will's Botox (Rachel will be back soon...I promise). Will did great! They numbed him up with some topical gel for about 30 minutes, then had Dad hold him over his lap while some lovely ladies made funny faces at him. 7 shots later, he was all done. He did so well they gave him a big toy afterwards! As we speak, he is playing with said toy.

The shots will have their peak effect in about a week, so now we just wait to see how they do!

Update: Will is having 11 botox injections on Tuesday. They will not be using anesthesia to complete the procedure but they will use a topical anesthetic. "The science behind botox therapy is that the bacterium from the injection blocks the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscle. In turn, the muscles relax." Please keep Will in your thoughts as he will likely have some discomfort/soreness.

Additionally, the twins got accepted into the Mount Washington Feeding Program and begin September 20th. It's a 6-8 week program where, upon graduation, the twins will have the tools they need in order to begin their journey of coming off the feeding tubes. Keep in mind they have to prove they can live healthily without needing the feeding tubes for several months before doctors will even consider removing the feeding tubes entirely so this is no quick journey, but at least a start.
