Ms Tenley was 11 pounds today!!! Yay!!! The babies had a Pediatrician appointment in the AM and an Occupational Therapy appointment at University of MD in the late afternoon. They are seeing their old therapist to see if maybe she could provide any tips on how to get these kids bottle feeding (as they did, at one point, drink bottles under her supervision).

Tenley is still having issues being able to get her blood work checked. They just can't seem to find her central line. So, they are going to break the blood work up into separate sessions now and just do a heel prick instead. It will take a few more visits to get all the blood necessary for all the needed tests, but at least they won't be poking her for no reason anymore.

Tenley weighed in at around 10 lbs 9 ozs and Will was around 12 lbs 7 ozs.

Will's catscan turned out a-ok....no fluid on the brain so no need for surgery! Will got his blood drawn to check for anemia however Tenley was poked twice and they still didn't get a good vein, so they'll try again later.

Let's see...there have been LOTS of doctor appointments this week. Some of the updates:
1) Tenley's allergies/congestion is still really bad. The GI doctor put her on a formula-only diet starting yesterday. This is not only to perhaps help her congestion but to also help pack on the pounds.
2) Tenley's reflux medicine got increased while Will's got decreased.
3) Mom got the babies all ready and they were at the Doctor's office today by 8am sharp to have their blood tested for Anemia; however there were really bad storms last night and the office was out of power. So, they'll get their blood work checked on Monday. Hopefully everything will check out fine and they won't need any blood transfusions.
4) Will had a catscan done a month ago but the Neurologist would like to do a second catscan on Tuesday before making any final decisions/assessments. In looking at the catscan from last month, there is a possibility some fluid is on his brain which would require a shunt surgery (basically....brain surgery to clear the fluid out). So, the second scan is to clarify if he does, in fact, require this surgery. He will also have another EEG in early September to check for any seizure activity.

I couldn't even wait until tonight to post these pics. Apparently the twins got all dressed up for daddy's "bank camp" graduation. I dont really know what bank camp was all about but apparently graduating from it was a fancy event...

This will be the only posting for this weekend due to my early tomorrow morning departure for Indiana. House is sold and I am ready for my 10.5 hour drive.

Mommy and Tenley went back to the hospital this morning. Tenley was up all night screaming and moaning. There was also some oozing coming from the site so mommy called the surgeon and off to the hospital they went. It appears as if it was beginning to get infected so they put her on some antibitoics and tylenol for pain as needed.

August 3, 2010 Part II

Ms Tenley is safe and sound at home after a VERY long day. Luckily, she did not have to go back under anesthesia and was released without having to stay the night. My understanding of what happened is that just the skin itself closed up, not the stuff internally, so they didn't have to completely re-do the surgery. They just had to re-open the hole by slowly putting a small object in there for 30 minutes at a time and gradually increasing the object size until the hole was fully back open. This process was painful for Tenley...the Tylenol provided hopefully helped a little. She would scream when they put the bigger size in but would then calm down in between the 30 minute intervals. She ate her noon feed at the hospital then was released and passed out in the mini van as mom pumped and drove home. All is well.

Tenley's G-Tube fell out some time last night and the hole closed up. She is currently at University of Maryland waiting to have surgery. I will keep everyone posted.
